Sambanis Family Law Pty Ltd

About this policy

Sambanis Family Law Pty Ltd operates https://www.sambanisfamilylaw.com.au. This policy explains how information provided through our website is collected, used and handled. It also covers website analytics and advertising measurement.

Information we collect

Our enquiry forms may ask for your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in and a description of your enquiry. Information about a family law matter may be sensitive. Please provide only the initial information needed for us to respond; avoid uploading or sending detailed confidential documents through a general website enquiry unless our team requests them through an appropriate channel.

Website systems and service providers may also record technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referral source and interactions with the website.

How we use information

We use enquiry information to respond to requests, arrange appointments and assess how our team may assist. If we act for you, further information-handling arrangements will be addressed as part of the engagement. Website enquiries do not, by themselves, establish a solicitor-client engagement.

We use technical and aggregate information to operate and secure the website, understand visitor behaviour and assess advertising performance.

Cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads

Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads, including tags managed through Google Tag Manager. These services use cookies and related technologies to measure visits, website interactions and advertising outcomes. Advertising measurement does not establish that every visitor has made an enquiry.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Restricting cookies may affect website features and measurement. Further information about Google’s handling of data is available at Google’s Privacy Policy.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Crosslink for website hosting, Microsoft 365 for email, SILQ for practice management, and Google services for website analytics and advertising measurement. Website enquiries may also be stored in Elementor’s submission records. Relevant personnel within the firm and authorised service providers may handle information where needed to process an enquiry, provide their services, or comply with legal obligations.

Technology providers may process information outside Australia. Please contact our privacy contact if you would like further information about the providers that handle your information.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse and unauthorised access. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Enquiries that do not become leads are deleted from our email and website enquiry records within one month. Lead enquiries are retained for up to seven years. Matter files are retained for seven years from matter closure, or from the date advice was provided for a consultation-only matter.

We may retain records for longer where required by law or a preservation obligation. Deletion from active enquiry records does not necessarily remove copies held in provider backups immediately.

Access, correction and complaints

To request access to or correction of information, or raise a privacy concern, contact Deb Mogridge at office@sambanisfamilylaw.com.au, telephone (07) 3171 2229, or write to 4 Kyabra Street, Newstead QLD 4006. We may need to verify your identity and consider applicable restrictions, including confidentiality obligations to others.

Please contact us first so we can investigate your concern. Where applicable, information about complaints to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner is available at oaic.gov.au.

Other websites and embedded services have their own privacy practices. We may update this policy when our website or information-handling arrangements change.
